Basically, the SG Work Pass application cannot be used on a rooted device. In this case, we need to do some settings to hide the root to be detected by the SG Work Pass App.
Please follow all these instruction to hide the root from the App:
1. Kindly install the Apps: Root Cloak and SG Work Pass. You will see a blurry icon with an exclamation mark on it. Please tap the icon then proceed to install it.
Please do the same thing for the SG Work Pass App (Blue Icon).
2. Once both apps are installed, proceed to open the Root Cloak App.
Once opened, tap "Add / Remove Apps" > Tap the "+" icon > choose "SGWorkPass (sg.gov.mom.sgworkpass).
3. Go back to the main screen > then exit the device from Talkie Lock / Scale Fusion.
Put the Passcode to Exit from Talkie Lock / Scale Fusion > then tap "OK". Note: Please get the admin to do these steps for you as the passcode only known by the admin.
4. Enable the Xposed Installer Module: Please find and open the App named "Xposed Installer" on the phone. Usually, we put it under a folder as follows. When it requests a passcode, kindly key in 2258 or 2235.
5. Once the Xposed Installer opened, you will see a pop-up notification contain a warning (So please be carefully following to this guide). Please tap "OK" on the warning > then tap the 3 lines icon on the upper left corner to open the menu. Choose "Modules".
Turn ON the module for "Root Cloak" by enable the tick on the box.
6. Once the module for Root Cloak is enabled, kindly go back to the main screen. Then relock the device to the Talkie Lock / Scale Fusion. And follow with a Reboot / Restart the device once.
7. Once the device fully started, kindly open the SG Work Pass App. Tap "Got It" button and Allow all the permission requested by the App.
SG Work Pass is ready for use.
